It's so easy to go through a school year thinking about all the things I would love to do "if I only had the time." I love reading her blog posts - I could do that! Wow, another great product on Teachers Pay Teachers - how does she have time for those?
Five years ago I started my running journey. I quickly lost a fair amount of weight I had been carrying throughout my teens and fell in love with the community and the sport. When I started teaching I learned that if you love something enough, you make time for it. Well here I am, making time for something new.
I hope this will become a place where I can share stories, pictures, activities, ideas, frustrations, joys, and every other part of my musical life with you, whoever you are.
So this is me! I am a music teacher in Texas, a children's choir and handbell director at a Presbyterian church, and a marathon runner. I am also a wife, mother of two large and crazy dogs, and doer of so much laundry. So much. How is there even so much laundry when I don't even have kids?
I just committed to opening up my Teachers Pay Teachers store - something that's been floating around in my mind for over 2 years now. My goal is to make more and share more. I felt so blessed by the mentors and help I received when I started to teach. I hope this can be a place for others to get some of that from me!
Well, I'll keep this brief. I hope to share here regularly - at least once a week. Next week I'll be talking about having a student teacher in my classroom (hint: I'm probably more nervous than she is). I hope you come back.
